That’s why I specialize in a customized and personalized approach to therapy, using tools and training from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Sex Therapy, Trauma Stress Studies, the Gottman Method, and Exposure/Response Prevention.
My entire career has been spent listening to people’s stories and working with clients to break free of their barriers and reach their goals. None of this would be possible without a foundation of trust and a duty to protect clients’ privacy and confidentiality.
We’ll work together to set goals and create a practical timeline that makes sense for you. Understanding that a commitment to self-improvement is fluid, and progress isn’t always linear, we turn your goals into tangible milestones to work towards and achievements you can celebrate.
Whether you’re a workaholic who turns to food, sex, or substances; a people-pleaser battling depression; or someone who tends to overspend when life gets difficult – your pain is real, and you are likely coping in a way that is preventing you from living the life you deserve. In therapy we work to understand your pain, finding small ways to heal and help you remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
I studied Psychology before receiving my Masters in Social Work (MSW) and Masters in Public Health (MPH) from UCLA. Here I spent time researching Anxiety Disorders and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder before graduating and beginning fieldwork.
In the field I provided therapy and crisis counseling alongside law enforcement. Here I was able to develop a unique perspective as a therapist, gaining deep insight into the human condition across all ages and circumstances. In this time I also trained with the FBI in crisis negotiation, adding to my depth of experience managing individual and interpersonal crisis and conflict. Outside the field, I spent 2 years training therapists and health providers in suicide prevention and was involved in policy committees to improve the delivery of mental health services within LA County.
After 14 years of fieldwork I transitioned into private practice. Here I leverage my field experience to offer a personalized and custom approach to therapy for clients and couples looking to build trust, set goals, and settle stressors so they can do life better. I am an active member of AASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapist).
Born and raised in LA, you can count on me to know all the local hotspots for food and people watching. I currently live with my partner and dogs, and we’re always on the lookout for a new adventure.
Even before becoming a therapist, I’ve always been in awe of self-development and growth. The human mind is an amazing and complicated thing, and I’m both fascinated and inspired by what we are capable of when we put in the work.
Currently accepting clients for telehealth in California and in-person in the Los Angeles area, including Beverly Hills, Century City, West Hollywood, Mid-City, Culver City and the West-Side.
